we stayed 2 nights and were made to feel most welcome [ home from home ] The breakfast was something else, definitely a high light for food lovers. Be sure to ask questions about what is available to use while at the ranch. Michael and Pattie were good hosts and very helpful, would highly recommend a visit. We enjoyed our stay

We enjoyed our stay from start to finish. The accommodations and breakfasts were top-notch. Patty and Michael are the perfect hosts. Other than visiting Crater Lake, which was amazing, we never had to leave the ranch. We were allowed the use of their horses and were able to fish the river, right on their property. The bird-watching was great too. Thanks Patty and Michael. We hope to return again next year.

Patty and Michael are great hosts and take good care of you. Breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. And they will adjust your breakfast requirements to your needs. Rooms were clean and comfortable. All of your needs are taken care of. This is a real ranch with cattle grazing out in the pasture and horses in the corral. They are about 20 miles from Crater Lake. Hot and cold drinks are available throughout the day at the ranch. Their dogs, Sadie and Spot, were so much fun and very friendly. It was very quiet at night, although we did hear coyotes one night. No city sounds, only sounds of nature. We highly recommend this place and will stay there again if we are ever in the area.

Having stayed at the Sun Pass Ranch in early June 2011 we found it an ideal location for visiting Crater Lake – one of the many ‘must see places’ on our 3,000 plus mile road trip to the Canadian Rockies and the North West states of the U.S.A. The accommodation was excellent and very comfortable. Patty and Michael were the perfect hosts, kindly inviting us to take dinner with them on the evening we arrived and along with the food being superb, we really enjoyed their company. We felt more like visiting friends, than total strangers. On our second night, having returned from Crater Lake very late, we we’re invited to join Patty, Michael and a couple of their friends for a some beers, talking, watching the stars and listening out for the sounds of coyotes. It was just magical for a couple of Brits from a large city.

We highly recommend the Sun Pass Ranch with its excellent accommodation, friendly and helpful hosts and incredible breakfasts to anyone seeking accommodation in the Crater Lake/Fort Klamath area and hope we can get to return next time we’re on a road trip.

Sun Pass Ranch is a very special experience. The view out back of Crater lake is breathtaking. The ranch itself is everything one could imagine. At night by the fire pit the stars reach from one side of the horizon to the other. Patty has a unique gift of making guests feel like family. I haven’t even mentioned her fabulous cooking. We plan on making a trip to Sun Pass one of our family’s traditions. Thank you Patty for a wonderful weekend and for sharing this beautiful ranch with our family.

A very, very pleasant stay for both me and my wife Akiko. Mrs. Patty is a perfect landlady and a skilled cook;
hex breakfast were very tasty and satisfying. We felt like at home.
Even if we are not horse riders, we shall suggest our “riders friends” to come here. Of couerse, we hope to come back soon.
Best regards tom Patty and her husband.

We loved Sun Pass Ranch. The breakfasts were delicious and kept us going all day, so we could enjoy the beauty of Crater Lake. The rooms were spacious and I loved how they were decorated. Much to our surprise, the beds were very comfortable. Patty was extremely friendly and helpful. Loved meeting Sadie and Spot. Thanks for an enjoyable stay and for the 5th Avenue French toast recipe!

Hi Bart and Joke,

Thanks, we really enjoyed your visit. We were telling the kids about your immigration story about how to spell Joke’s name. :-) We would love to see you both again. The weather should be cool but not rainy. It will be fun, I am sure. Glad you made it home safely. Michael and Patty

The room, the food, the views, the dogs, the horses — we loved everything. However, it was Patty’s true hospitality and friendliness that made a difference. We drove for 14 hours on our way to the ranch, and, because of the traffic, we arrived about 4 hours later than we had planned, and it was almost 11 PM when we parked the car in the driveway, and Patty heard the noise and opened the door, and she welcomed us in and poured us some red wine… and we immediately felt home away from home (sorry for using this cliché but this is the best way to describe it). There are too many places on our bucket list, but if we decide to visit Crater Lake again, we’ll definitely stay at Sun Pass Ranch, the best B&B we have ever stayed at (maybe we’ll have a chance to talk more then).

Everything about Sun Pass Ranch was wonderful! Patty is the most gracious hostess & her cooking is superb! The room was cozy & clean–the bed comfy, the breakfast was delicious–fresh, organic ingredients, the grounds peaceful & scenic–great way to wind down after hiking around Crater Lake. An unexpected surprise was lunch! Also Patty suggested many things to see & do–one was dinner @ The Lake of the Woods. The dinner was delicious & the view couldn’t be beat! Thanks again Patty, we had a very enjoyable stay!
